Turntable and home stereo question?
My cheap turntable just died, so I'm looking for a new one. I want to get the best sound quality for a reasonable price. (I don't have audiophile-type money to spend, I'm hoping to get a nice used turntable for under $300). What should I look for? Is the cartridge most important? Also, I live in a tiny one-bedroom apt. I have a newer Sony 5.1 Surround receiver for all my home audio components, but I don't know if that's the best choice for my record player. Are there ways I tweak this to sound better for my stereo vinyl (possibly replacing the front stereo speakers with nicer ones)? Or should I just spring for a separate vacuum tube amp and higher-end speakers? Thanks!
good question. that depends on your listning taste .a good entry level table for u would be the NAD 533 which is the same table as the REGA P1. plus there are many upgrades for those tables. and yes a cartrige is very important for your sony reciever i reccomend the DYNAVECTER 10X 5 that costs about 380.00$ as far as the table you can that for 350.00$
