1/8 to dual Adapter, which one for a single input?
hi i am trying to connect my Philips 5.1 home theater speakers to my pc..
my sound card has
front speaker out
rear speaker out
central speaker out
woofer out
and my speaker amp has the corresponding inputs.. i have got some 1/8 to dual RCA adapters but my problem is that unlike the front and the real speakers which have dual inputs.. for the central speaker and the woofer i have only one RCA input each in the 5.1 amp., and all my adapters have a dual RCA out, one black and the other red.. i tried looking for a single adapter but couldn't find it in my city (i am from India) so is it a way i can use the 1/8 to dual RCA adapter instead?
which one should i plug in, black or red?
Get a RCA mono 'Y' cable that goes RCA male to (2) RCA female (they usually come 6-12" long). That is only if you cannot find a mono 1/8" to RCA cable. Connecting only one or the other will work on a stereo cable, but may produce inferior results.
