How do you connect a Dynamic Microphone to a computer?
You get an adapter from whatever the output on the mic is (XLR?) to 1/4" and then another adapter from 1/4" to 1/8" (all stereo of course). Then plug it into the "Line-in" port on your sound card.
FYI I have tried plugging it into the "Mic" input on some of my systems and it never works...always has to be the "Line-In" port. Besides that, even if it did work on the Mic input, that's a mono input whereas Line-in is stereo.
P.S. I'm talking about an XLR Mic with Phantom power running through a mixer, then out to my soundcard.
