How to connect a Technics graphic equalizer SH-8017 to a JVC receiver w/tape deck, CD, VCR and DVD already in?
The JVC receiver is a model RX-315TN and the Technics G.E. is a model SH-8017. The latter has two line-in/out RCA-style inputs (R & L) and two tape rec/playback inputs, also R & L. The thing is, the receiver's inputs are all taken up except for the Tape2 video sound in/out inputs.
Aren't you supposed to hook the G.E. to the tape deck's inputs, then run a connection from the tape deck to the receiver somehow? But, if so, how?
I'm totally cornfuzed. Hayulp.
I don't know your exact Input/Output capabilities but I would guess you want the EQ to work with everything, yes?
Hook the EQ to TAPE 1 in/out on the JVC using the Line IN/OUT and turn on the JVCs' TAPE MONITOR function, then either connect the tape deck to the TAPE 2 or one of the GEs' tape I/O's.
