What's a good record player?
I don't really know much about them, so I'm not sure what to look for. Do you know which one of these would be better? I just need it to play vinyls, anything suggestions would help, but out of these I like the first one the best.

Why would you even want to transfer vinyl to CD with a crappy record player?
There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to buy a cheap record player in the year 2010.
A person who likes the sound of vinyl better (on a good system) would never subject their collection to such abuse to use this as a second system or something. Heavy tracking force, no anti-skate... The sound would suck anyway. A real vinyl junkie would keep CD copies of his vinyl and play those where there's no good turntable available.
CDs played on a boombox that goes for the same price as one of these record players will sound 100 times better and the boombox will last longer. Vinyl can sound better than CD to some people, but not in this price-range. You'd have to spend over $500.00 on turntable and cartridge alone to get sound that can rival CD... and then you'd need a system to hook the separate turntable up to. The people buying these cheapo record players and a bunch of new vinyl are simply falling for a fad. Don't be one of them. When the novelty wears off, they'll realize the sound sucks and the cheapo record players will go into the closet... if they still work.
If you have a few old albums you'd like to hear, have somebody with a nice system transfer them to CD for you. People do this for money on the web and on eBay if you don't know anyone. If you're considering buying new vinyl just to play on a crap record player, forget about it! Play CDs... Maybe spend the same amount you were planning on spending for something a little nicer to play CDs on...
