What is a good microphone for a home recording studio?
I am a musician and would like to start recording my stuff. I'm just wondering what microphone I could get, but still have relatively good quality. The most I'd be able to pay would be $150, anything lower than that would be groovy.
I don't know if this is even relevant, but I need it to hook up to my computer.
A good all around mic for vocals is the Shure SM58, which is around $100. It’s used by pro’s all the time. The Audio-Technica AT2035 is a bit better which costs around $150. And if you don’t have an audio interface the The Samson C01U connects directly to your usb port which costs around $100, and sounds pretty good too.
