hi fi speakers advice?

i have ordered a pair of quad 11L speakers. shop assistant told me i need to bi-wire them for better sound quality, yet someone else says there isnt much difference, i have a sony receiver to hook up to ,mainly to play music...any advice ...thanks

Try it both ways and see.

There is a lot of disagreement over bi-wiring, from enthusiasts, professionals and manufacturers.

Some speaker manufacturers only offer single wire terminals, as they feel bi-wiring offers no advantage.
Other manufacturers will say that the separation of the bass and treble signals improves the sound quality.

I tried my speakers single wired and bi-wired - I preferred bi-wired. I have now gone one stage further and my speakers are bi-amped.
