why does media attention not prefer darker skinned females?why do people prefer redbones all the time?
in rap videos, most girls are lightskinned. whats up with brown or dark african americans being seen. do Black rappers themselves not like brown women? why do people prefer redbones rega rdless in society?
It's weird because in most rap videos the "main girl" has to be lighter than the rapper. I was watching a documentary about rap videos and one of the rappers actually said something like this 'I want them mixed looking bitches like Pharrell" and another rapper said "If it wasn't for mutts their would be no video girls." When they do have beautiful women with darker skin they just show the T&A. Certain Rappers are starting to put more variations of skin tones but most Rappers don't.
I was reading an article last week and it stated that most t.v shows don't have the lead person with darker skin because "white" people will not watch it and the show will get canceled. I guess people prefer redbones because they don't look "Black." Very sad.
