which DVD-R is suitable for burning PS2 games?
i live in india. i have a kingdom hearts 2 game disc.i created an image file of it using alcohol 120%.it is in .mds file format. i wanna burn it to a DVD-R which will run like the original one. Please help me. I want a suitable company's disc . I tried SONY and FRONTECH, but it didn't work. My PS2 was unable to read them. (It has the MOD chip soldered.). I will vote the one which works well as the best answer. Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try a branded DVD-R, ideally Verbatim or something like that. I've ALWAYS found Verbatim to work the best, but they are not the cheapest discs out there.
Taiyo Yuden are said to be among the best, but you may not be able to find those easily in India.
Other than that, it's as much to do with the burner and *the speed you burn the disc at* as anything else. If you don't get good results when burning at 16x, try burning at 8x or even 4x.
Note that you should have two files, an .iso file AND a .mds file. If Alcohol 120% isn't working for you, try ImgBurn - it works just as well and is completely free.
